16th February 202310 common cashflow mistakes
15th March 2023The Be, Do, Have principle is probably one of the most powerful leadership mindsets but its also really useful in your personal life. It’s all about how we prioritise our time in order to achieve our goals or get the best outcomes out of our lives.
Normally it starts off with us being a bit constrained, we say things like “when I have more time” or “when I have more cashflow in the business”, “then I’ll be able to do things like reduce my working hours” or “I’ll be able to spend more time working on the business or lead my team better”. Which leads to “So then I’ll be a great leader or great partner/parent”. We need to turn this on its head because the constraints of what we are wanting to have are stopping us from being the person that we want to be.
If we turn it on it’s head and start thinking about ‘Who I want to be’ first, this is less constrained and more achievable. So if we want to be a great leader/partner/parent then what do I need to do in order to be that person or achieve that goal? What do I need to change or discover in order to meet that goal. That will then propel us to reach the outcome that we wanted all along.
The important thing is to think about right now, who do you want to be? Then start being that person right now, acting and doing the things that you associate with becoming that person. So rather than getting stuck in the constraint of when I have more time, or more cashflow that stops you from reaching that end goal you already become that person.
