I set up Mundial Mag in 2014, originally launched as a one-off magazine to celebrate the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Mundial has grown from a quarterly football lifestyle magazine to much more than that.
MUNDIAL is the number one multi-platform choice for the intelligent football fan. Sharp, funny, stylish, irreverent, and nostalgic, it speaks directly to its audience because it knows who they are and what they want. Rooted in fan culture, it knows who they support, what they wear, where they drink, and where they want to go next. It celebrates their heroes, teaches them about wider issues, makes them laugh, and on the odd occasion cry. It takes them around the world and ends up on their doorstep. It’s created for them, by them. It reminds them why they love football.
Mundial is different to our competitors because of our tone of voice. We are self deprecating, sometimes irreverent but always passionate and authentic. We target football fans who care about all the stuff outside of the 90 minutes on the pitch as much as what happens on it.
Like a lit of people at the moment, our biggest challenge is navigating the impact of the global pandemic that has turned everything on it’s head.
Probably a return to normality and football being played on the same scale and in front of the fans like we all assumed it would be a few months ago.
A recent cover star Hector Bellerin is the opposite of what footballers are supposed to be. There will be more like him in the future!
Spend time doing what you do best, it’s a false economy trying to do everything. Delegate as much as you can to the experts (like Seed).
